-Alright here's the scoop, there's this guy in philly who is dealing crack and crack cocaine and is the kingpin. In other words he doesn't even deal, he has people deal for him. And he is nice at what he does. This guy I'm talking about is Alton "Ace Capone" Coles. Recently police have gotten enough evidence to have a warrant for his arrest. With this arrest he has allegedly brought in over 1.5 tons of crack and crack cocaine into the city of philly. Not only does he bring it in but he is extremely successful in proliferating all the rocks and blow around the city. On a weekly basis authorities claim he is responsible for around 100,000 personal doses since 2000. Crunching those numbers together approximates him to have been the reason for 5,200,000 doses per year (DPY) and 36,400,000 doses since 2000. This is an incredible DPY that has only be matched by a few other drug lords in all of history. So what could have gotten Alton Coles into so much trouble? This mild mannered man grew up in a low income area in Philly. Coles soon found love in music and he started a record lable for up and coming hip hop artists in Philly. He became extremely successful and started throwing mad parties that celebrities such as Kanye would show up to. This fame and fortune could have brought him into the drug world. His lavish parties could have been an excelent drug arena for laundering money. It only progressed from there until he had an elaborate network of dealers and buyers throughout the city which quickly established his impressive DPY. Along with the drugs Capone has been related to 21 shootings and 7 murders. Last year officers increased their search for Alton and to rub it in there faces that they had no hard evidence, he produced a video called New Jack City: The Next Generation where he stars as his role in life, a murdering drug lord on the streets of philly. Recently police have collected enough evidence against Alton to bring him to trial.
-This article taught me a lot about the true life of philly. especially the section about 54 shots in a few minutes, read it. it also shows the troubles police go through to arrest someone on these accounts. For a while this man as been getting away with things he shouldn't have been but police cannot make an arrest unless the have evidence. If he could have been arrested two or three years ago or back in 2000 when he started, would seven murders have happened? It's a shame the justice system is so slow.
-I think we should have the liberty to arrest people on much looser standards. Remember, getting arrested is not the same as being jailed.

This just blew my mind. It's shocking what some people will do, drugs and stuff. This is important for people to see, no doubt.
