This is an article about a man living in an apartment building who has been going around and pooping in people's shoes and boots in the halls, and even worse, he is defecating in people's laundry when it is unattended. The man has been identified and caught.
This is an important article in it's own special kind of way. It is a reminder that sometimes pranks a person might think are harmless can cause a great deal of trouble. These people lost loads of laundry due to his defecating ways. Also, it also sends the message that criminals will be caught.
Even though I think this prank was priceless, when you think about all the damage it caused it becomes sickening. Defecating to ruin peoples possessions is appalling.

RESULTS.....YOOOUUUUUAHH
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/county/#IAREP and http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/county/#IADEM you can look through them and make your own opinion of them but here's my stance on all of these numbers.
These are the fat cash results of the 2008 caucuses in Iowa. As you can see the winners were Governor Huckabee for the Republicans and Senator Obama for the Democrats. Nothing really much of a suprise except Hillary got third and its a little bit of a let down for Romney that he got third. From here there will be the New Hampshire Primaries in five short days. Will Guiliani step it up? Will Hillary sneak into the lead? How will Chuck Norris play out in all of this. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered.
These results are important because its the beginning of a new presidency. The primaries and caucuses are extremely important and eventually we will have our presidential candidates.
CNN so far has the most organized results and their site is very easy to follow.

Re-inventing the myth: American Gangster
http://www.fandango.com/movies/1/moviecriticreviews.aspx?mid=102901&review_source=LosAngelesTimes
- Here's the low-down my homies. This article is all about what the movie American Gangster is all about. It talks about how Denzel (Frank Lucas in the movie) delivers the character correctly and shows the persons true emotions. After all, he is an academy award winner. Crowe also gets the same respect even though the movie is Lucas' life, not Crowe's character, Ritchie. The movie is slightly embelished and fabricated for cinema purposes. The movie also touches back to its roots in the Godfather and other similar movies.
- This article is important because the writer, Kenneth Turan, does a very good job making sure the reader understands that the movie is not all fact. It has been embelished in certain parts of the movie to convey a message and it is by no means a documentary. It is important that people know this is fiction, not fact. Also, this article says who the director and writer was and gives a little information about the development of the writing and why the movie falls in the order it falls in.
- I saw the movie and reading this article helped me understand the movie more. Reviews like this can enhance the actual experience.

Alton "Ace Capone" Coles; New Jack City: The Next Generation; Cocaine
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/homepage/11180892.html
-Alright here's the scoop, there's this guy in philly who is dealing crack and crack cocaine and is the kingpin. In other words he doesn't even deal, he has people deal for him. And he is nice at what he does. This guy I'm talking about is Alton "Ace Capone" Coles. Recently police have gotten enough evidence to have a warrant for his arrest. With this arrest he has allegedly brought in over 1.5 tons of crack and crack cocaine into the city of philly. Not only does he bring it in but he is extremely successful in proliferating all the rocks and blow around the city. On a weekly basis authorities claim he is responsible for around 100,000 personal doses since 2000. Crunching those numbers together approximates him to have been the reason for 5,200,000 doses per year (DPY) and 36,400,000 doses since 2000. This is an incredible DPY that has only be matched by a few other drug lords in all of history. So what could have gotten Alton Coles into so much trouble? This mild mannered man grew up in a low income area in Philly. Coles soon found love in music and he started a record lable for up and coming hip hop artists in Philly. He became extremely successful and started throwing mad parties that celebrities such as Kanye would show up to. This fame and fortune could have brought him into the drug world. His lavish parties could have been an excelent drug arena for laundering money. It only progressed from there until he had an elaborate network of dealers and buyers throughout the city which quickly established his impressive DPY. Along with the drugs Capone has been related to 21 shootings and 7 murders. Last year officers increased their search for Alton and to rub it in there faces that they had no hard evidence, he produced a video called New Jack City: The Next Generation where he stars as his role in life, a murdering drug lord on the streets of philly. Recently police have collected enough evidence against Alton to bring him to trial.
-This article taught me a lot about the true life of philly. especially the section about 54 shots in a few minutes, read it. it also shows the troubles police go through to arrest someone on these accounts. For a while this man as been getting away with things he shouldn't have been but police cannot make an arrest unless the have evidence. If he could have been arrested two or three years ago or back in 2000 when he started, would seven murders have happened? It's a shame the justice system is so slow.
-I think we should have the liberty to arrest people on much looser standards. Remember, getting arrested is not the same as being jailed.

Decoding the Cat Genome - http://www.philly.com/philly/wires/ap/features/science/20071031_ap_scientistsdecodemostofmocatsdna.html
Alright, so there is this cat that scientists are doing tests on to try and decode its DNA sequence. This is the first cat that will be completed and they already have about 95% of the genes found. the other five percent will be found sometime in the next year if everything goes to plan. So what does this mean and why does anyone care? Cats will be added to a list of about two dozen other animals that have been decoded that have gene sequences similar to humans and they get diseases similar to humans. For instance cats can get a cat form of AIDS. That's right, Cat AIDS. And its not like those guys in the white lab coats are only taking on our quadrupedel friends. They have also been busy cracking our own genome to find cures for SARS, diabetes and other diseases.
This is important because we are getting closer and closer to complete immortality every day. Every gene we decode and every sequence we put together is a step closer to solving some problem we have with health. The potential of curing diseases and physical disabilities is endless if we can manipulate the way the gene sequence is. If we could find a turned off gene that resembles star fish DNA and is the code for regeneration, humans could some day have the ability to grow back entire appendages.
I think this article is great. We should continue to find out everything we can about the human body. Cracking the code will affect the future of everyone some day. The cure for the common cold could someday be uncovered if we can find it. With this information we should continue to support science and the efforts they are making. It is important to be aware of what is going on in the scientific community...and of course to stop the spread of DUH DUH DUH!!! CAT AIDS!!!!!!

Pass the Iran Counterproliferation Act
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5iiAuEr6DaumEXCldgqkOl51dLS5A
-Recently in the house there has been a vote to heavily increase sanctions against Iran and Tehran and blacklisting its Revolutionary Group as a terrorist organization.
What that means is we are going to monitor money going to Iran and their nuclear program. The US will be "depriving Iran of proceeds from energy sales which could be diverted into funding its nuclear program." This loss of revenue for Iran is going to slow down their nuclear program quite heavily.
This also stops anyone involved with the Revolutionary Group from giving money that could support the group.
Another way to curb their program is by stopping Iranian imports by using the Iran Counterproliferation Act. By not importing their resources, they lose funding, and the chance of Iran producing a nuclear weapon decreases greatly.
We have also blacklisted their fifth largest bank because they have been affiliated with funding weapons for proliferation.
-What I learned from this article is that the United States are taking great measures to restrict proliferation in Iran. I now see how ready America is to fight Iran and do whatever it must to halt their proliferation and production of enriched uranium and nuclear weapons. This is very important because this is one of the largest measures we have taken to try and stop nuclear proliferation. Sanctions on their economy will greatly slow down any production and progress they are making.
-I could not be happier with the article. It is staying on top of one of the most pressing issues against our nation. The thought of a country that is almost completely anti-American is an extremely terrifying idea. The fact that the House put together legislation and passed it that limits funding to Iran is a huge step for our war on terror. What we can do is continue to follow any news dealing with the war on terror or any other counterproliferation attempts. This can educate all of us on what is happening in the middle east and what needs to be done.
